Rose Hashimoto
Viola

Rose Hashimoto is a violist based in Seattle, Washington. Rose has performed with ensembles including A Far Cry, Shattered Glass Ensemble, the Aeolus, Argus, Thalia, Momenta, and Ulysses Quartets, and at music festivals including Icicle Creek, T-Town Chamber Music Festival, Birdfoot, Manchester Summer Chamber Music, and Yellow Barn. She played with the Experiential Orchestra on the Grammy-winning recording of Ethel Smyth’s The Prison and on A Far Cry’s Grammy-nominated album, Visions and Variations. Rose earned performance degrees from The Juilliard School and Mannes College of Music in New York.
Rose co-founded Listen Closely, an organization dedicated to building community in upper Manhattan through music. She is also a dedicated viola and violin teacher and serves on the faculty of the Suzuki Institute of Seattle.
